My first working experience was a one-year project, in which I also discovered the power of leadership and teamwork. I was lucky to have a leader who was coaching us properly, and the team I worked with was full of amazing people. As the year came to an end, I decided to embrace my inner Ted Lasso and get everyone a little army man with a personal message, to keep them safe while I would be gone.
I learned a lot about leadership that year, and I wish leaders in corporations would also be more like Ted - trying to get the best out of everyone.
There are some who are like that, but I think generally they are from the Millennial generation, maybe Gen X too. Older generations were brought up in a very different, army-like system.
This was a great reminder I need to watch series 2. Also the Roy eyebrow thing was great and so accurate. Finally, some good coaching learning points. Thank you.
Excellent take--I would add that the show is both about coaching and about *being coached*--the real pathos of the show is in the player characters like Jamie Tartt.
Of course, but seeing as I'm a coach, I wanted to talk about the coaches. I'll let my clients talk about their experience being coached 😊 I don't agree on your last point though. All characters, coaches and assistant coaches included, and what they go through, carry the emotional weight of the show.

Finally, I was waiting for someone to say it! ❤️
It really has little to do with soccer/ football
Agreed. Thank fuck for that, too 😂

Also, the second season is MUCH better!
Hey, it's been ages! And thanks 😊

It is seriously a feel good show. It could be corny but somehow it isn't. Im looking FW to the new season!
This! It's just absolutely perfect. Me too ❤️
Roy's the writer for your next favorite show, Shrinking
People keep recommending this show but I’m not too keen on the main actor 😢 I’ll give it a go after I’ve rewatched Ted Lasso.
Watch it to find a side of Harrison Ford you never knew existed. And the fact the the whole ensemble is hysterical! 🤣🤣
Oh he's funny as fuck. But now I'm curious!
I get it.
Hmm. So does that mean he's better in this show?
He really is very endearing in this show. But I get it if someone can't look past whatever they think about him.
Nothing much to do with thinking, it's just something about his acting that puts me off. Not sure why 🤷♀️ But I'll give it a go anyway!
