Thanks Maggie, these levels are especially helpful when trying to focus on the benefits that come with people-pleasing tendencies while also trying to establish healthy boundaries (which first of all start in our head) ☺️
For me it was mostly helpful because it provided me with a choice in the intensity of a relationship. It made it 'ok' to just hang out with people for their company, and it helped to understand that I was just that for some others too.
Friendship breakups are arguable worse than romantic ones. Deciding to protect yourself by removing someone from your life is a powerful and courageous decision, but it is absolutely necessary. Thank you for so honestly sharing the importance of friendships and making the decision to not pursue them. Great work!
The "reason, season, lifetime" approach is so useful and has been so helpful for our daughter as she grows and goes through the ebb flow of childhood friendships. I love that you shared that. Also, the real reason I'm commenting is to say I love the Doctor Who reference.
Hahaha I was waiting for someone to mention Doctor Who, you're my kinda people ❤️ I was in my early thirties when I finally understood that concept, so it looks like your daughter is off to a good start 💪
I like this, just listened now.

Thank you ❤️ They can definitely be worse than romantic break-ups. I wish this kind of break-up was more normalized.
